July 2009 Newsletter - NEW!!

Dear Friends,

Psalm 8:1 says "O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! What a privilege for us to be serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In this hour when it seems our country has hit rock bottom, morally, economically, and politically, God is still and forever will be on His Throne. We still believe America is a Christian nation and we are "one nation under God" and we can still see revival in 2009.

The Lord has allowed us to be in some great meetings the first half of 2009 and we anticipate even greater in the following months to come. People have seen the urgency of the hour and they are realizing that now, more than ever, we need the Lord to "Send The Rain" to this dry and desert land. It's our desire that the Spirit of the Lord has His way in each and every service He allows us to take part in. We are grateful for each open door He has for us, and we want to enter each one with anticipation that the Lord is moving with power and in demonstration!

August is HOMECOMING SINGING time for the Rochesters. We want to invite you to our 11th Annual Homecoming Sing Friday, August 21 at 6:30PM. The singing will be held again at the Gaffney High School Auditorium in Gaffney, SC. Groups tentatively scheduled to take part that evening will be The Phillips Family, The Erwins, Geraldine and Ricky and The Rochesters. We are also planning on having Dr. Ralph Sexton Jr, Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville, NC preach for us during the service. This year, we are having FREE ADMISSION for the singing, and a love offering will be taken during the service. We would love to have you with us on Friday night for our singing. Come, and bring a friend!

The time of year has come to vote for the 2009 FRONT PORCH FELLOWSHIP AWARDS.  The Rochesters are nominated for: Favorite Group. Becky is nominated for Favorite Female Artist and Ben is nominated for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Instrumentalist. You can vote at:  www.southerngospel.com/bluegrass. The dead line to vote is July 31, 2009 and the awards will be given at NQC Thursday Sept, 17 in Louisville, KY. We Thank the Lord for allowing us to be considered for these awards and we appreciate the votes that you give.

We would also like to invite you to go with us on the Singing at Sea February 15-20, 2010.  As this is being written there are a few cabins left to sail with us from Jacksonville, FL to the Bahamas. Five exciting days aboard the Carnival ship Fascination with all the Preaching, singing, fellowship and food you can absorb in that many days and nights. For a brochure you can call us at 864-839-5984 or email us at: sbmm@juno.com. Pastors, it would be a great (and maybe much needed) vacation for you and your family. We would love having you go with us as your host for the week. Contact us for details while there is still space available.

Thanks to the radio DJs who are playing our latest single "Patching It Up". Thanks also to United Independent Artists for promotion to radio stations. If you have a radio station near you please call and request it. The song has a wonderful message concerning the love and grace our Lord has for us. Thanks again!

If you would like to order CDs or soundtracks please call us at 864-839-9270 or visit us on the web at: www.therochesterfamily.com. You can be informed about our upcoming DVD release and Hymns project on the site.

We also want to say a special "Thank You" to the Sibley Missionary Baptist Church in Sibley, LA and to Brother Steve Borho and his family in Texas for taking us on for monthly support. We appreciate your confidence in us, allowing us to be your "missionaries to America" spreading the Gospel through song and preaching. We appreciate your faithfulness to the Lord for allowing Him to use you as the first church and first family to give us monthly support. We will try our best to be good stewards of the finances that the Lord allows you to provide for us. What a Blessing!

We would be honored to have you with us in our upcoming meetings and services. Please pray for us that we honor Him in all that we say, sing and do! Please also pray for our health, finances and travels that the Lord keeps us safe every mile that we go. Your prayers mean so much to us!

Until He Comes..........................................
